What is the role of the Faith and Science Council?

Questions & Answers December 11, 2015

Q: Many Seventh-day Adventists aren’t aware of the Faith and Science Council. What do you see as its role?

A: The Faith and Science Council is a tremendous group of people dedicated to biblical Creation and the biblical Flood model and its importance from a Seventh-day Adventist perspective. They’re doing some tremendous work. You can visit their website at https://fscsda.org/. They will play a very strong role in the future regarding the scholarly and practical sharing of origins from a Biblical perspective.

We also have the Geoscience Research Institute (GRI) and the Biblical Research Institute (BRI). GRI and BRI play a very important role as we continue to see an erosion of biblical acceptance and much more of an emphasis by society and culture on a “scientific” perspective on creation.

There are people in secular settings who are thinking that there must be some explanation other than evolution — that there must be some kind of intelligent design, or something. I look forward to the time when many more people are interested in what Seventh-day Adventists have to say on the important topic of origins.
