Q: Some people say the General Conference Session in San Antonio in July 2015 was the last that will ever be held. What are your thoughts on this?
A: While no one but God knows the exact time of Christ’s Second Coming, Jesus tells us that “when you see all these things [signs of the end] know that it is near — at the doors.” (Matt. 24:33, NKJV). As we watch world events taking place, it isn’t difficult to see that prophecy is being fulfilled right now. I believe with all my heart that Jesus is coming very soon!
However, this doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t plan for the future. The world church is moving forward into a new five-year period, known as a quinquennium. Our world church leaders have made plans that will move the church forward in its mission for the next five years. Plans are also under way for the 61st General Conference Session to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana. in 2020 — unless Jesus comes before then!
In the meantime, let’s be faithful to Him and share the wonderful news of Jesus’ soon return and of His very important three angels’ messages.
